The Parco dei Quattro Nastri was born from the idea of four dancing green ribbons (“nastri”) that interact between themselves and the other buildings on the site to create a playful design that reconnects the city and its inhabitants to the space: returning human presence tothe park and creating a space of interaction for its users; returning to the tradition of innovation and marrying the idea of the low-tech to the high-tech; and finally reconnecting the park with the city at different scales. The Parco dei Quattro Nastri will give Milan a model for how to build and re-insert nature into the city.
