By studying the nature of a tsunami and its potential hazards, it is possible to define solutions to integrate into buildings’ design. Local architecture and lifestyle, and territory morphology, act as starting points for the development of a series of guidelines offering an innovative methodology for the construction of buildings able to improve safety while maintaining current lifestyles and level of comfort.
